Defining “Down Under” – the Great Barrier Reef

Sensational Sydney is a fabulous way to begin your tour, taking in all the sights from the iconic Opera House to Bondi Beach. Then you’re bound for this tour’s main attraction – the majestic Great Barrier Reef. Your first stop is charming Cairns where you’ll be staying, and a visit to world-renowned Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures for a crocodile cruise followed by an Aussi BBQ dinner. Then, the breathtaking reef is just a short boat ride away. A full day on the Outer Reef offers plenty of time to see it all, whether you choose to snorkel or take a semi-submersible submarine tour. You’ll also visit the Kuranda mountain range for a ride in the award-winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and enjoy a stop in Tjakupai, a center for Aboriginal culture.

Day 1 Sydney
Arrive in Sydney and get settled in your hotel. Tonight your tour director hosts a “meet-and-greet” Welcome Reception. Overnight Sydney Intercontinental Hotel

Day 2 Sydney
A morning tour visits Bondi Beach, Watson’s Bay and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair and other highlights of magnificent Sydney. Tonight you can set out on your own or join new friends and explore Sydney’s legendary nightlife. Overnight Sydney Intercontinental Hotel (Breakfast included)

Day 3 Sydney/Cairns
This morning, you’ll leave Sydney on a flight to Cairns. Once here, you’ll have the remainder of the day at leisure to explore the tropics. Overnight Cairns Hotel (Breakfast included)

Day 4 Cairns
Today a high-speed catamaran takes you to the Outer Great Barrier Reef where you’ll spend the day among the multi-colored denizens of the most spectacular reef on earth. Take a break from the undersea attractions for a delicious buffet lunch, which is included. Enjoy snorkeling or a semi-submersible submarine tour. Perhaps take an optional scuba dive or helicopter ride over the reef (additional cost). Overnight Cairns Hilton (Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 5 Cairns/Sydney/Embark Ship
After breakfast, you’ll fly to Sydney to board your Princess ship for the beginning of your fantastic voyage Down Under. (Breakfast included)
